I love it when it is warm, and I love it even more when it is hot. It has been hot and is going to continue for a while, so suck it up whiners.

We got this at work for when it is hot outside. Now I don't have to walk next door to get my orange juice.

This grip tape art makes me have faith that skateboarding is heading in the right direction.

I take a lot of photos of Sara, and I hope you can see why.

I think that the dog puke just makes you want to go skateboarding.

Hittin' the streets again. It is amazing how many slurpee stop must be made.

A little more estrogen just got added to the shop. I guess mine wasn't enough.

The DC local qualifiers were on Saturday. I have a beef with DC, but the contest was fun. Thanks to Matt, Carmen, Tyler and Dan. No thanks to DC.

What is a good thing to do at 8:00? Go to the beach.

I love dogs, apparently so do the homies.

What is a good thing to do at 9:50? Go to The Molnar Compound and enjoy life.

First watermelon of the season for me. I was in heaven.

Tonight Matt and I shredded the 9:30 to 10:30 shift. It is great that it stays so bright out so late. Skateboarding is truly a fun thing. My hat has good session written all over it.

Right this moment I am discovering the Four Tet "DJ Kicks" album. I am being blown away. And I haven't even got to the ten minute Autechre song that finishes the album yet. I think the DJ Kicks series is genius.

Go Skateboarding Yay.

Today was a lot of cool things.
-First day of Summer.
-40th anniversary of the Kootenay Trout Hatchery.
-Longest day of the year.
-Go Skateboarding Day.
I was actually very surprised at how many people knew it was Go Skateboarding Day. I wish everyone knew.

I got painty again recently. And have been painty for three nights in a row now. That is a good feeling.

This is what an hour can change. Downpour to perfectly dry. Oh yeah and a 'stang with some sweet decals appears too.

Apparently "Nacho Libre" brings out the homies.

Go Skateboarding Day.

The first couple of attempts didn't work (they tried a boulder which got moved, the grooves got filled in with quickcrete), but I think they have stopped the skateboarding (and walking for that matter) this time. I must say the skateboarders put up a valiant effort, but this is true architectural genius.

Matt gets blogged a lot. But why wouldn't he.

Tonight after skateboarding I celebrated the longest day by going on a bike ride around town. I love just riding around at dusk and seeing where the streets will lead me. That is one of the things I am looking most forward to doing in Vancouver.

Here is another new batch of photos. Again, I suck at really documenting it all.

I got a "grown up haircut." Matt told me I wasn't a grown up yet though. Fine by me.
Yes my shirt matches the banner in my bathroom.

Here is a quick list of things. They are things that I am excited about.

-The mosquitoes out where my parents live are ludicrous. They are far worse than anything I ever witnessed in southern Manitoba. I think that rotting elk carcass in the standing water had something to do with it. Why would I be stoked on that? Because they are so bad that it is amazing.
-Sonic Youth's new album. It takes me back to grade 8 through 12.
-Mark.
-The bike ride that I took today with Carmen. No photos.
-My dad.
-Having my mom back in this area.
-Bram has two new 'zines out.
-Getting my student loan applications in.
-The Kootenays (still).
-Talking to Sarah on the phone today.
-My friends this weekend.

I have been made fun of a bunch for collecting shoes. I don't know if I am giving in to the ridicule or just getting sick of toting two garbage bags of shoes I don't really like around every time I move. But I am making a conscious effort to skate through all of the them. This is the end of week one of the endeavour.

These people like me. Birthday time.

Banquet Hall Bandits.

My loving landlords.

This is what the inside of a purse looks like. Janna had a rotten banana in hers.

Mark was scared of a little beef fat. I was too.

The sky was fake over top of my house.

Sara showed Kya whose house this is.

Carmen was excited.

So on Saturday night we went to the "Beer Gardens" I think the idea is ridiculous. One thing that is not ridiculous is hanging out with this guy.

Have I ever mentioned that I love friendly cats. That lurker in the background got some rubbin' too.

On Sunday my mom made me a great b-day feast, but I didn't document it. I guess that means I enjoyed it too much.

I am really excited to see what the post man bringeth.
