This idea has been bouncing around in my head for a while now, so here it is. The Homie Blog. I am going to start with my good friend Anthony. He has been my homie since January of '99 so that is almost 8 years. I hope that you have a friend as amazing as him.

This was taken in the summer of '99 on my first trip out to Southern Manitoba. He took me around to a tonne of tiny towns with 'nort, blumen' or 'hoff in their names.

Anthony was passing through my neck of the woods, so I took him to the Kootenay's best street spot. This is also my favourite picture of the two of us (shot by Melissa).

When I moved out to Winnipeg I moved into a basement apartment with him, he hated that place, but I think it was sort of cool. At the time he developed photos for money, this led to random photos showing up in my room. This one is of him, but others were of fat cats or me (shot sniper style through windows without me knowing about it, totally creepy).

Basement haircut.

This one is in the backyard of The Mansion. I hope that you can tell by the photo, how entirely stoked he is on those boots and long underwear shirt.

That is no sissy 4 inch screen. He rolls with full size house TV's.

Middle of the afternoon at the Dethbridge skatepark. I can't believe how hot that little pit can get. As a bonus , there is a BMX track right beside it that is so hardpacked that you can skate it. This photo is classic Anthony.

Anthony started rocking the asymetrical hair way before Luke. However, Luke did stick with it.

Rooftop BBQ. I don't know if you can see it or not, but he is swinging two wieners as if they were Nunchucks (that spelling is a true stab in the dark).

To me it looks like Anth really wants to be in this picture.

He would always use me as his test subject for flashes etc. Well this time he was my test subject, to figure out how the shutters went.

He sometimes says that he does things just so he will get it before me. Well not only did he get this before me, he also got it without eating crap, me on the other hand took it hard three times before getting it.

Anthony claimed "ninja" on this costume, I claimed lazy. He didn't even bring the sword, it was lying around the house.

In this photo I am spooning Mrs. Weibe's husband. But if you look really close you can see Anthony spending New Year's eve in the hospital with a broken back. He is so manly that he walked out of that place three days later.

This was shot on my very last morning in Winnipeg. Anthony no longer lived at The Mansion, but he came over bright and early to help pack, and then go for breakfast. That was a tough morning.

One week ago.

I was going to finnish this blog off with a list of reasons why I love Anthony, but it was getting cheesy and sounding borderline gay. So I stopped. However, he is a as good as they get.

More Puke Than A High School Bush Party.

So I am in full on procrastination mode right now. That has blessed me with a newly screened shirt, and you with a new blog.

A tonne has happened in the last week. So here we go.

My Ma and Pa were in town on Tuesday and Wednesday. We walked a lot. I love that they travel so much. I apparently was trying to catch up on my sleep in that photo.

A very lovely young lady who I haven't seen in seven years found me on MySpace (weird). And I got to go to her first public showing of her photos. It was super sweet. I only took one photo of her, and it is sort of crappy (out of focus, and it looks like I am perv camming from miles away).

This little angel is Vancouver's biggest threat. I was the seventh to fall victim to her disease spreading skills. She has now successfully put her mom, her dad, two of her uncles, one aunt and two cousins out of commission. Anthony may now be carrying it to Winnipeg. What a cute little vector. She was hardly affected by her own wrath. I think the red eyes give it away.

My next visitor of the week came in the form of this blue-collar man. He got here on Friday and I got sick at 5:30 am Saturday and stayed in bed all day, but it worked out fine, because he had business to attend to. I think he got a photo of me when I was dead to the world due to Isabella's Curse.

But he was out on a mission, dare I say mission accomplished.

Oh yeah, she puked in my house this weekend too. But that's okay because I felt like the only weak one.

The fruits of my procrastination.

If The Rapture is ripping off Joy Division, then Natalie Portman is ripping off Audrey Hepburn.

The Vault. Part 1

Today, in between drawing my foot in different positions, and trying to make my house clean, I spent a lot of time in iPhoto. So here are a bunch of oldies, some may be repeats, but most won't be. This starts in fall 04 and now it is fall 06. I didn't get a camera until December 05 when I blew my hard earned cash on the best piece of metal ever. So the first ones I probably didn't shoot, I think they are mostly stolen from Erin's camera. I will try to do it in chronolical order.

This kitten brought me untold amounts of joy. One day I will again own another cat. But none will replace LeTigre.

Halloween, 2004. I was an outhouse, LeTigre was a pirate, Luke was awesome, Anthony put no effort forth.

LeTigre really was the star of most pictures.

A really good way to impress chicks. You can see it in their faces. New Years eve 2004.

Valentine's day 2005. two of the people in this photo are now married.

If you're gonna dish it out, you better be willing to take it.

LeTigre wasn't down with watching a movie, so she gave birth in the middle of the living room.

This was my drive out to our New Year's party. I really enjoyed it. I worked until 11:30pm on the 31st and then drove for an hour and a half straight into the woods, listening to Loscil and Autechre. That is a great way to enjoy the Kootenays.

New Year's Eve 2005. There were about 40 pictures and 20 of them were stellar (in my opinion) to wade through. This was one of the most fun nights in my memory.

This is the randomness of my good pal James. Yes that is a bowl of chopped up pineapple.

One full day after such fun, Mark got served. Isabelle cried.

This is one of the only photos I have of Joel. I should have taken more, he deserves to be documented.

Stupid deer didn't stand a chance.

Kirt living the Kootenay's male dream.

Last day of construction. She make look small, but she is as steep as a barrier.

This is when the stoke hit the fan. Thanks for the ramp room James.

G-ma Smith.

Sarah 5 days before Isabella burst onto the scene.

I always take pictures of Vans, and Matt always makes fun of me for it.

Matt's cabin round two. this time we had to hike the last bit. Mark needed beer and milk for the trek.

Joey is a mess.

Five weeks in.

Spring is one of my fovourite times. I think it is my favourite time.

Okay, I am getting tired of blogging. But I have been having fun reminiscing today. I will finish this flashback in the next few days.

-2 Years
-3 Cities
-4 Homes
-12 Roomates (The Mansion had a revolvoing door).
