Dear Cat and Jen: I am sorry.

If you are Cat or Jen and you are wondering why I am sorry, you will find out soon.

So here is what's what.

Sometimes I go all out at dinner time (this was just before my heart was broken by Asobi Seksu).

I have never been stood up on a date. Until now. Asobi Seksu and I were going to be hanging out on Thursday, my dad was out here visiting, but he graciously went out to Abbotsford that evening to give me my space. So I went out to where I was to meet Asobi for the first time (sort of a blind date). All that I found when I got there was a note, explaining why the date wouldn't happen. I didn't take a picture of the note, because I was ashamed.

I did however take a photo of all of the goodies I got from school.

My dad's doctor has told him that he needs to wear a helmet at all times from now on. So if you ever see a photo of him not wearing it, it means that someone PhotoShopped it out. If you do see him without it on, please yell at him. Yelling is the only effective way to make him realize that he is endangering himself, so really yell.

My great friend (and father) Laird and I went on a marathon bike ride all around the Lower Mainland. I stayed ahead of him a lot of the time, so I don't know if he kept his helmet on or not.

When I said, "all around the Lower Mainland," it was a gross exaggeration for the purpose of effect (hyperbole). I also should have capitalized "The." I am not sure about that rule or not though.

This guy is at UBC. He may look mean, but he didn't harass us at all, so I can only assume that he is friendly.

This is where the apology comes in. I am so sorry, but I went to Body Works 3 at Science World. It was so amazing that I will go again, and if you call me I will ruin everything about it, by blabbing.

You aren't aloud to take photos in the gallery, so this proves I just don't care about the rules. I was too scared to really compose the photos and I was shooting from the pocket, so I guess that means that I am scared. These are real dead guys doing stuff that real alive guys do, but without their skin on. No fake dead guys, real dead guys.

This photo proves that I am getting good at PhotoShop. Getting rid of the straps was tough.

This is the face of pride. Isabella, pride can be very dangerous, I will give you humility lessons.

Joy, however, is contagious.

Neighbours.

Dad and I went to Grandma's house in Abbotsford today.

She had some beautiful tomatoes, and explained her theory on why Dad needs the helmet now.

If you don't know why this picture is in here, then you need to get to know me better.

In order to cheer myself up from the Asobi Seksu fiasco, I am taking myself to a movie.

Well, that is all for now.

I have two hot dogs in my belly; I just finished listening to Casiotone For The Painfully Alone; I have no more pears; And there is one hour until the Junior Boys show.

Two days, three posts. I am losing it.

I was out on my cycle today and I found a dream. Since I have no friends who skateboard out here, I guess I will have to lonesome dove this spot. Matt, if you come out in October and buy me some food I will show you where it is.

Science World has this really interesting show going on right now. Some German dude found a way to perfectly preserve the human body, so there are a bunch of actual bodies preserved in different poses and states of skinlessness. I am pretty excited about this. Some friends and I are going to check it out late October (Sarah you are invited too). Anyways, apparently skinless, lifeless, plasticized dudes love to get all shreddy too.

The remainder of my bike ride today took me all over East Van. Up and down residential streets and then to the Industrial section. I love industrial areas. Like the one in Winnipeg over by the Vineyard Church. One of my favorite days working at the Edge was "scrap metal recycling day." We went to the sweetest/scuzziest scrap metal joint and just watched how much metal the big magnet could pick up, and we made $120 doing it. Well Vancouver has a super sweet industrial area, which has an added bonus, the Ocean. I like watching the docks at the harbour and wondering what is in all of those huge crates and where they coming from and going to.

However, with all of this amazing industry comes signs like this. It sort of pulls me in both directions.

My Dad is coming in to town tonight. He is here for three days for meetings and seeing his beautiful children and wonderful grandchild. I didn't know what time he was going to get here, so I went and "wasted" some time at the beach. If there is something that is never a waste of time, it is sitting on the beach.

When in Vancouver...

Oh yeah, I am even more all up in this piece, check me out

I got suckered in to the MySpace craze, but it is working out pretty well.

We are having some time apart. At least that is how it feels lately. It isn't like we had a big fight, maybe we are just taking each other for granted. Whatever it is that has come between us has got to be rectified. I miss hanging out with my little camera.

Here are some moments from the past while. These are moments that we spent together.

Remember in the early/mid nineties when every skateboard video had some footage of a TV getting smashed? The guy who did this does too. I think it was either Ronnie Bertino or Adam McNatt.

Homies getting some packages.

I am very hot or cold on the whole "street art" subject that is so hot these days. For every 5,000 pieces that go up there is one good one. This is a good one.

I am supremely stoked on these public gardens that are everywhere in town here. They are all along the abandoned rail line. Some of them are very expansive. This one is gaurded by a large skunk. Skunks and Raccoons are all over the place, they make night-time strolls a lot more fun.

I love getting to hang out with this little girl.

A little change.

Two things I spent a lot of time with yesterday morning.

If anyone wants these, please come and take them. They are in my fridge and there is no way that I am going to drink them.

I have hung out with Andy twice now. The first time we ran into the entire Matix team (except no Bieble) at the Plaza. It was a day before they were supposed to be there. Mark Appleyard was there too. Blade is right, Mark Appleyard is amazing. We also went for lunch and street skated. I didn't take a single picture that day. The second time he was in town, we went to the veggie market and then hung out at the dog park on Nelson and pretended like we knew what the dogs were thinking. I took a picture that day.

I am really hyped on this.

I guess that is all. I think Miss. Canon and I are on the mend now though. So hopefully the fruits of our relationship will be evident soon.

The Mountains aren't as close anymore.

So I am now officially in Vancouver. And I am stoked to be starting a new chapter. The Ocean is right down the hill and the city is all around, but the laid back atmosphere isn't quite as readily available. Oh well, you have to give to take.

The road trip went exceptionally smooth, thanks to this guy. Everyone needs a guy like this in their life.

I had a sweet night at an amazing house with an amazing family, but I forgot to take their picture. But this is their place.

The beginning.

The Boss was in town at the same time and he treated me well for a few days and crashed on my new couch.

Best graffiti artist ever. We found these on two different days and I was excited both times. I look forward to future run-ins.

Jenn and her roomie Carla (sorry if I spelled it wrong).

Time for some din-din.

I tried my hand at dying tees.

Matching TV shows with your locale, height of fashion.

My new joint.

That is all for now.
